For the tote bags in the Color Rhythms Music Festival identity, a heavy cardboard substrate with a matte lamination finish was selected. One side of the bag featured the festival’s main visual composition, carefully adjusted to suit the bag’s proportions and visual rhythm, while the reverse side displayed only the logo of the Second Abd al-Qadir Maraghi Music Festival.

For the large-scale billboards in the Color Rhythms Music Festival identity, standard billboard printing materials such as plastic-based banners were used for outdoor and public installations. However, for displays within the festival venue, printing was executed on heavy cardboard and backlit banners, incorporating embossed typography to enhance the visual and tactile experience.

For the tags in the Color Rhythms Music Festival identity, transparent labels were applied onto textured book-grade paper stock. However, for the special guest tags, direct printing was carried out on textured cotton paper with a matte lamination finish, featuring embossed patterns and gold-foiled typography to emphasize elegance and distinction.

The 300-page book in the Color Rhythms Music Festival identity was bound using perfect binding with hot-melt adhesive. Since the pages were printed on 160 gsm glossy paper, an additional thread stitching was applied along the spine to ensure greater durability and structural strength during use.

The Color Rhythms Music Festival identity employed a deep lapis lazuli blue as the primary background color—directly inspired by the ultramarine blue tiles of the Blue Mosque in Tabriz. In Pantone reference, this hue closely corresponds to Pantone 288 C or a dark Ultramarine Blue tone. Additionally, genuine gold foil was applied throughout the design to evoke a sense of richness and contrast, rather than using an ink-based Pantone metallic shade.

Although no formal environmental sustainability certification was obtained, all printed materials for the Color Rhythms Music Festival identity were produced in compliance with eco-conscious standards. Recyclable papers, non-toxic inks, and local printing suppliers were selected to minimize waste and reduce the project’s overall environmental footprint.

For the outdoor banners in the Color Rhythms Music Festival identity, a weather-resistant vinyl material was used, coated with a UV-protective lamination to prevent color fading under sunlight. The prints were also treated with a waterproof coating to ensure durability against rain, humidity, and temperature changes throughout the festival period.

The stage banner for the Color Rhythms Music Festival was mounted using a modular aluminum truss system with stainless steel clamps and tension cables. The banner itself was reinforced with eyelets along the edges, allowing it to be securely fastened with elastic cords to ensure stability against wind and vibration. This setup provided both structural strength and a clean, professional presentation throughout the festival.

The Color Rhythms Music Festival—also known as the Abd al-Qadir Maraghi Music Festival—was not an exhibition-based event, as its focus was primarily on music performances and instrument presentations. Therefore, no specific weight or transport specifications were defined for exhibition stands. The only display elements were part of a parallel showcase dedicated to musical instruments and instrument makers, while my role was focused on designing the festival’s visual and environmental identity.

The structural support for the 6×4 meter billboards in the Color Rhythms Music Festival identity was based on pre-existing modular billboard frames provided by the production team. I adapted and resized my design compositions to fit these ready-made structures, ensuring optimal visual balance and alignment while maintaining the integrity of the overall identity system.

The strobe boards used in the Color Rhythms Music Festival identity required standard festival-grade electrical connections, typically 220–240V AC power with grounded outlets to ensure safety. They were designed to operate with low-voltage LED drivers integrated into each board, minimizing power consumption while providing high-intensity lighting effects suitable for both indoor and outdoor performance areas.

For text legibility in the Color Rhythms Music Festival identity signage, the design drew inspiration from the calligraphic inscriptions of Maragheh’s historical tombs, particularly the Red Dome, while integrating modern typefaces for secondary and tertiary information. Although the primary lettering was conceived as a visual element—prioritizing aesthetic composition and visual impact—it remained fully legible and comprehensible. This approach balanced accessibility standards with artistic expression, ensuring that the information was readable while reinforcing the festival’s cultural and visual identity.

The maintenance and preservation of the Color Rhythms Music Festival identity banners were managed by the festival’s organizing team. While I was not directly involved in this process, the organizers typically implemented regular supervision and care routines to protect the banners from potential damage and environmental wear, ensuring they remained in optimal condition throughout the event.

The printed surfaces in the Color Rhythms Music Festival identity were treated with protective coatings tailored to their material and usage. Outdoor banners received a UV-protective and waterproof lamination to prevent fading and damage from weather exposure, while printed materials such as tags and booklets were finished with matte lamination and selective embossing to enhance durability, tactile quality, and visual appeal.

For the Color Rhythms Music Festival identity assets, standard vector and raster file formats were delivered to the printers. This included AI files for scalable vector graphics, as well as TIFF and PDF files for high-quality print production. Offset-printed materials were provided at 300 DPI, while larger formats such as landscape posters, billboards, and strobe boards were prepared at 150 DPI to ensure optimal resolution and clarity at scale.

The stage graphics in the Color Rhythms Music Festival identity were produced using flame-retardant materials in accordance with standard fire safety practices for public events. While I was primarily responsible for the visual and environmental design, the festival’s production team ensured that all stage installations complied with local fire safety regulations to minimize risk and provide a safe environment for performers and audiences.

The materials used in the Color Rhythms Music Festival identity were selected with sustainability in mind. Paper stocks and cardboard elements were fully recyclable, and non-toxic inks were used throughout the printed materials. Additionally, wherever possible, reusable or recyclable substrates were chosen for tote bags, banners, and tags, minimizing environmental impact while maintaining the visual quality and integrity of the festival’s identity.

The Color Rhythms Music Festival identity book was designed for durability with hardcover (gathered in gallinger style) binding, accompanied by a separate slipcase cover. This combination provided structural strength and long-lasting protection, ensuring that the book could withstand frequent handling while maintaining its visual and tactile quality.
